You say you have very bad back pain. Without knowing more details its hard to know what the full picture of your back trouble is. My first suggestion would be that if you back pain is very bad then you should go and see your doctor as soon as possible to gain a proper diagnosis. This will also be free and if youre referred for physiotherapy this will also not cost you anything. Once a diagnosis has been ascertained, it may be possible to look at other alternatives to help you. All complementary therapies are going to cost. You may find that some therapists have special deals for those on low income and to find this out you need to ask the therapists individually. Another way to get treatment is to contact colleges that are training therapists in your area and offer yourself a case study to a student. This way youll get treated under the guidance of the teacher and help out a student too. The best way to do this is to either approach the teacher of the course directly, or to contact the Head Office of the training school who can put you in touch with the teacher of a course in your area. As a teacher of the Bowen Technique Ive found that students have welcomed people offering to be bodies for them to practice on as it gives them more experience. As for the best therapy, massage, chiropractic, osteopathy, reflexology, aromatherapy and the Bowen Technique are all know to help ease back pain. |

- add 4 - 6 drops of your essential oil or blend.
- Wipe cloth over the surface of the water, wring out any excess and then apply to the required area.
- Repeat as the cloth changes temperature.
- Hot and cold compresses may also be used alternately when there is a flare up of inflammation and swelling in joints.
- Repeat cycle of hot, then cold two to three time, each compress should be applied for 2 – 3 minutes.
- Always end with a cold compress.
Aroma Massage The blend is added to a carrier oil and used in a relaxing massage. One doesn't have to be a professional to massage a loved one. A caring, gentle touch is all that is needed. To 30ml of carrier oil add 10 - 15 drops of your essential oil blend. |
